MICROWAVE UPDATE

THE FLEAMARKETS

The evening fleamarket tables provided a great range of microwave "goodies" and your scribe was able to get a few items that he had been seeking for some time. Tables were set out permanently for the more "commercial" folk such as Down East Microwave (complete with Steve Kostro, N2CEI, of course!)but others, the amateur sellers, had to lay their stuff out just for the evening.

Here's a view of the evening fleamarket.

David, G6GXK, bought at least 4 YIG oscillators to my knowledge!

David, G6GXK, inspects the high quality (and often expensive!) components and modules on the commercial tables. There was no shortage of connectors, high quality coax cables and millimetre wave modules.

Test gear by the ton! Just some of the stuff being sold at the Update evening fleamarket.

On the Sunday morning there was an outdoor fleamarket set up in the hotel carpark.

The "left overs" from the evening fleamarkets turned up here as well as surplus seen for the first time and brought in by amateurs from the local area.

More nice test gear was up for grabs!

Here are the "goodies" I bought at the Update fleamarkets. Yes, I was tempted by all that test gear but I just could not have got it back to the UK without a great deal of bother. However, these little items will keep me busy over the coming winter months.... a 24GHz 800mW PA, a 3 watt PA for 1296MHz, connectorised mixers, high quality coaxial attenuators, a nice 3dB connectorised splitter rated to 26GHz, various surplus muliplier and synthesizer pcbs, coax to waveguide transitions and a brand new length of 24GHz flexiguide.
