The lectures attracted good audiences. Well-known microwaver Paul Wade, W1GHZ, had been invited over from the USA to give one of his famous talks on antennas. We were not disappointed. The highlight of his talk on dish feeds was the series of animated diagrams showing the radiation of RF energy from the various types of horn.
Paul has a most valuable online antenna handbook which should be your the first stop en route to deciding what is the correct feed horn for your dish.

Paul is seen here presenting a coveted American award for services to UHF/Microwaves to Ian White, G3SEK (collected on his behalf by Sam, G4DDK)

Other talks included a most informative one by Chris Bartram. G4DGU, on Driscoll crystal oscillators. More more information on his research into this field go to his new website where the full text of his talk can be found.
